Online or telephone counselling is a relatively new counselling technique where counselling is provided over the telephone or over the internet, usually through a video communication platform like Skype or Zoom. 

 

Online or telephone counselling provides you with instant access to your counsellor at the start of you session.  The sessions are easily accessible and affordable.  There is no travel costs to attend an appointment. 

 

The sessions also take place from the comfort of your own home or any other suitable private location.  This increases anonymity, as there is no concern about running into a familiar person when entering or leaving a session.
